About your Workshop Leader

Paul Jackson is an Oxfordshire-based photographer who has worked with clients all around the UK & Europe ... he is also an old friend and regular customer of imagex

Paul Jackson

 

Paul started in studio photography in 2013, building portfolios for new models and working with established models in fashion and beauty.

Using the techniques he learned, he moved into location work building his skills in the corporate, event photography, fashion, boudoir, art nude, food and animal portraiture.

A winner of international and local competitions, he now enjoys sharing his knowledge with beginner and intermediate photographers looking to advance their understanding of light, composition and capturing the moment.

 

Each Workshop Course is limited to just 20 attendees, and will run from 1pm-5pm, with a Q&A session at the close

Prices

£35 per adult place, book TWO places for £60, book THREE places for £80

Concessions - £30 (over 60s, students, under 16s, members of Bicester & other Camera Clubs)

  1. Your digital camera - compact, bridge or system type - or mobile phone as many of the basics in this course can be applied to use with phonography
  2. Any lenses or accessories you have with your camera
  3. Notebook, tablet or paper for taking notes

  • Understanding the controls of your camera
  • Basic Settings, lens and exposure control
  • Introduction to image framing, the exposure triangle with controlled lighting; Shutter speed, Aperture, ISO
  • Optical effects, Choose Your Subject
  • Handling Difficult lighting situations with your camera
